What are the best models to live show: OFs or CMs?
Depends on the show. Most shows I have been to have separate divisions for OF and CM. But if all are together then it really depends on the individual horse.
How would you describe the Pee Wee Bit?
The Pee Wee Bit is a Loose Ring Snaffle with a Mullen Mouth. The Mullen Mouth places even pressure on the horse’s bars. It is a very mild mouth piece. The Pee Wee Bit is made from quality stainless steel which gives the bit a clean neat look, with a sweet iron mouth piece. The sweet iron is intended to rust which gives it a sweet taste promoting saliva, hence the term sweet iron. The Bit is light and comfortable which is important allowing the horse to relax.I use the same tack on all the horses I train.
Can I take extra tack and how much?
Light tack is carried without charge (small tack trunk – 12″ X 20″ X 24″ maximum allowable without charge). Extra hay and complete tack storages are too space consuming and will result in extra charges or fee. (When booking exclusive trips, allowable tack sizes may not apply) **Please check when booking your horse if you have a large amount of tack**Individual colleges host each event and provide the horses, which are paired with riders of the appropriate level by random drawing at the start of each show. Personal tack and schooling warm-ups are not permitted. Judging is based strictly on the rider’s ability to demonstrate a pleasing and effective hunter seat equitation position on an unfamiliar horse. (Horsemanship and reining divisions are offered by the IHSA, but Dickinson currently offers only hunter seat.On the care for horses page, you can give your horse health items, feed, you can water, groom, muck the stalls, and train your horse.

Should I bring my tack?
Most lameness and performance problems can be evaluated without a rider. However, if the problem is subtle and particularly if the problem is more noticeable when the horse is ridden, observation under saddle may help us diagnose the problem more quickly and accurately. In these cases we would encourage you to bring your tack and a rider.During the day of a Pony Club rally, each team is required to set up a complete and organized tack room and stable (usually using an empty horse trailer) containing all the necessary gear. Saddle racks, bridle racks, first aid, equipment, tack, etc. is all set up in the stable. Everything must be labeled and in proper cleanliness, repair, and condition.
